I’m a Floridian from a small paper mill town called Palatka.

I was a Hooligan and a Juvenile Delinquent

I became a Christian in August of 1994 under the preaching of Dawson McAllister.

I was discipled by the fine people of Peniel Baptist Church.

The church’s pastor at the time Dannie Williams has been a mentor to me for more than 20 years now.

I started dating Jennifer Clifton my Jr. Year of High school

I graduated from Peniel Baptist Academy in 1998.

I enrolled in college at the Florida Baptist Theological College (Now called the “Baptist College of Florida”)

I got a job leading worship at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Gordon, AL and worked there for three years during college.

I also was a 4 star employee at the Dothan, AL Cracker Barrel throughout college.

Jennifer and I were married in June of 2000

I helped start Harvest Jacksonville my last year of college.

Had my first son Noah McKade Clifton

I graduated in December 2001 with a degree in Sacred Music from The Baptist College of Florida.

I went on receive an M.A. from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, VA (still working at Cracker barrel)

I became the worship pastor at Stafford Baptist Church in 2002.

Had my first daughter Ruthe Elizabeth Clifton

Started Pillar Church in Dumfries Virginia on March 28, 2005 at Marne Corps Base Quantico.

Had my second son Isaiah Naethaniel Clifton

Co-founded the Iceland Project in 2006.

Had my third son Moses Owen Clifton.

Co-founded the Praetorian Project in 2011.

Went to work for the North American Mission Board as the director of Send DC.

Founded New City Network with McLean Bible Church in 2015.

Wrote a book called Church Planting Thresholds: A Gospel Centered Church Planting Guide

I started a podcast called the “Church Planting Podcast”

Added Send Baltimore to my role with NAMB and served in that role from the summer of 2017- the fall of 2019.
